Qigong (translated as ‘energy work’) can be seen as a simplified practice of the essential principles of Tai Chi. It is accessible to all ages and skill levels and allows for immediate focus on internal awareness and the cultivation of good health.
The main physical objective in qigong is to ease tension and restore the natural flow of qi (vital energy) throughout our body. This benefit begins simply with the movements, but is deepened significantly through a shift in internal awareness away from the thoughts of the mind and into the feeling of the body.
The exercises lead us to deepen our balance, relax our bodies, expand our range of movement and enhance our sense of awareness and security.
